Mt. Kenya Heritage Center engage the local community in active environmental upgrading activities. This includes tree planting campaign throughout the communities and surrounding environments. Our objective is to support the governments' initiative on tree planting and environmental conservation along river banks, free wind flowing environments, tree planting along water catchment areas and around farms. We also educate the community on ways of controlling soil erosion and discourage the community on phantom destruction of forests. Among our goal is  to establish tree nurseries across the community to encourage the afforestation as one way of fighting global warming and encouraging concerning the environment through planting indigenous trees.
