2 DAYS MT. KENYA HERITAGE CENTER

Day1
Pick up from your hotel after breakfast at 0830hrs. Pass through Thika road, stop over at Blue post resort for a brief history of Chania river which is life giving water for Agikuyu community and politically renown for the saying of the first president that the presidency will never cross North of that river. Pass near Muranga town(previously known as Fort hall). Then to Kangema town heading northwards, cross river Mathioya South  towards Gondo bus stop. Then  join the 4km weathered road to Mt. Kenya Heritage center where you will be welcomed by traditional dances and songs. Learn the ways of life of the indigenous Kikuyu community as you take a guided tour of the Mt. Kenya heritage center (which is set as a traditional village). Optional, take a sample of traditional African food as you get brief history of the Kikuyu community.

Day2
Have breakfast at 0800hrs. Proceed to river Mathioya which is only a walking distance from the center, interact with the locals and see the way of life of the Agikuyu. Descend to the river while marveling at the beautiful scenery and the waterfall, get the thrill of crossing the Mathioya river on a foot bridge and probably see some very rare and exotic birds e.g African fish eagle, hammer cop renowned for its architectural ingenuity: See its marvelous work and some other water birds. Walk along the river bank through the fishermen trails and probably get a glimpse of Fungi invested trees and some very exotic insects e.g dragon fly.  Have picnic lunch at the river Mathioya waterfall. After lunch indulge in Fishing activities as an optional activity as you enjoy the beautiful landscape. Later, start walking back to the Weathered road where your tour van will be waiting. Proceed to Nairobi arriving in time for your dinner at your hotel.
